Thai Yoga Massage is a unique, dynamic, whole body healing treatment that is both relaxing & invigorating. It is a therapy that dates back to over 2,500 years as a medical practice from Thailand with its Ayurveda roots from India. Thai Yoga Massage is a nurturing, compassionate massage that provides the benefits of a traditional massage, a yoga session and energy treatment while the recipient & the therapist remain in a calm, meditative state.
Thai Yoga Massage provides you with the benefits of yoga without having to do it yourself. Your body is taken through a series of flowing yoga postures that includes rhythmic compression of the tissue following specific energy lines and stimulation of acupressure points. It is a gentle, gradual stretch with compression to the tissue that allows it to release comfortably, opening the joints & relieving pressure on nerves. It is often a deeper stretch than you can do yourself with the added benefit that you remain completely relaxed while receiving this blissful treatment.
The massage is customized to fit the specific needs & flexibility of each individual. You remain clothed & wear stretchy long pants & comfortable top. It is done without oil on a mat on the floor & typically each treatment is 60-90 minutes. The therapist uses her hands, forearms, elbows, knees & feet to do the massage.
Some of the numerous benefits of receiving regular Thai Yoga Massage include: increasing flexibility & joint mobility, increasing blood & lymph circulation, relief from physical & emotional tension & stress, improving immunity, as a preventative measure & promoting optimum health.
